Hello Cabin neighbors,

The USFS and County had a meeting yesterday with the tract leads. Tim Collins attended on our behalf. Essentially it was a meeting where numerous questions were presented to the USFS and County. They are taking the questions and will work on getting answers. Topics included cleanup, rebuild, water systems, trees… you name it…

So I know that is not really an answer to help us understand better what is going on- but the team made sure to talk about cleanup and how this is a priority as the first thing to address. We are waiting to hear back at this point but the impression is that it was productive.

Secondly, I know we paid our tax bill last fall but we have not seen a refund of any of it yet. However, the County posted the below update:

Keith called today and got a call back (on a Saturday!) from the sweetest lady who said that yes, they were just completing all the reassessments. Ours has been drastically reduced and she said we would get our refund check soon!

Remember, there is a Highway 50 cabin owners meeting every other Thursday. The next meeting is February 3. The link doesn’t change and is available on the Cabin Owner Resources page.
