Proposed Tract Meeting

Good morning Aspen Creek!

Couple of updates- most of you are probably aware that there is a log down across the road near the Stumps. It’s pretty large (see pic). Lyle and his son may try to cut it out next weekend but for now you have to park and walk in.

Also, it’s sounds like a few of us are leaning towards rebuilding- much of which will be contingent on any unforeseen roadblocks and a host of other factors.

We have some common things to discuss- road, water system, septic remediation, etc. Lyle Schmidt had a great suggestion which was to have a tract get together or meeting and maybe a series of zoom check ins to share what we are all doing.

If you are willing to share your rebuild plans, that would be great. I know we are in favor but we have a lot of questions after getting our letter that we need answered before we known if a rebuild makes sense.

If you are in favor of a tract get together in the next month or two please let me know so I can send out an official invite. We could arrange a potluck type lunch on a Saturday and I’m happy to do the set up for it. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Kathy

  1. I want to rebuild in my spot but I’m not approved yet. I have to hire someone to figure out the hazards and they say I’m not allowed a septic. So I have a feeling it’s going to be a fight.

Your lot is not currently suitable for rebuilding, unless specific mitigations are implemented.

Please see the excerpt from the Geologic and Flood Hazard Assessment below which informed this decision.
Comments: Located on 38% slopes, outside of lot. 5′ cut on graded site consists of unconsolidated glacial till. Unstable.
Recommendations: Dry Cabin only. Needs geotechnical investigation for slope stability both building site and access road.
Suitability: Not suitable for septic system due to setbacks (See Flood Maps for Septic Exclusion
    Zone).
