Good evening,
The USFS sent out an email today with the new Right of Entry form available online. The leadership team has a few questions and is working on getting answers this week. The form is due on June 20th.
Here is the email:
Hello Caldor Fire-Impacted Recreation Residence Permit Holders,
We recently received news that FEMA has approved the use of Public Assistance to remove structural debris on USFS lands resulting from Caldor Fire destroyed or damaged recreation residences. In order to take advantage of this opportunity, permit holders need to complete a Right of Entry (ROE) form for the El Dorado County Consolidated Debris Removal Program. This was sent out from El Dorado County today. The form is also posted online: click here to view. Please take note that the ROE forms need to be returned to El Dorado County as described on the top of the ROE Form and the deadline to return the form is June 20, 2022. Do not return the forms to the Eldorado National Forest or Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit. For more information, please visit the El Dorado County’s webpage.
If permit holders do not submit the Right of Entry form by June 20, 2022, you will be fully responsible for Phase 2 cleanup. Further direction will be provided to those who opt out of the Public Assistance opportunity.
Please respond to this email to confirm receipt of this information. Please reach out to us with any questions.
Thank you,
